Recomposition Project
These works are part of a project that required me to edit the composition of a master work of art. The first image is a recomposition of Portrait of Madame X by John Singer Sargent. The top right image is a recomposition of Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci in a Disney-like style. The bottom left image is a recomposition of Georgia O'Keeffe's Ram's Head with Hollyhock. These three pictures were done with watercolor brush markers, pencils, and micron pens. I wanted to change the theme of these master works to a darker style. In the recomposition of Madame X, I wanted to try an art nouveau style as well. For the last image on the bottom right, I recomposed The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo into what could be called The Destruction of Eve, since Eve replaces Adam and Satan as a snake replaces God and the angels. It was recomposed into a cartoonish style as well.
- Recomposed Madame X (5.3" x 8.3"), watercolor brush pens and micron pens
- Recomposed Lady with an Ermine (5.3" x 8.3"), micron pens, watercolor brush pens, pencil
- Recomposed Ram's Head with Hollyhock (3" x 3"), watercolor brush pens and micron pens
- Recomposed Creation of Adam (8.3" x 5.3"), micron pens and colored pencils
Figure Drawing Project
These works were done for a figure drawing project. I tried to experiment with different media for each one.
- Girl Looking Up (6.5" x 8."), pencil
- Witch (13" x 10.5"), charcoal
- Crying (6" x 6"), pencil, charcoal, and micron pens
72-Hour Still Life Project
I completed these works for a 72-hour still life project. The first image is of a crow on a tree branch. It was sketched with pencils and then outlined and colored with micron pens on regular sketchbook paper (5.3"x 8.3").
The second image is a still life of a skull and wilted lilies on a cloth. I used watercolor and watercolor brush pens on watercolor paper (12" x 9").
The last image is a pencil sketch of a hand holding a small snake. I used graphite pencils on sketchbook paper (5.3"x 8.3"). I used my own hand as a reference for the pose.

AP Studio Art: Summer Work
Self Portrait Sketch, Landscape, & Self Portrait Painting
These images are the physical art pieces I completed for my summer work. The image on the left was done on regular sketchbook paper (5.3" x 8.3") with a set of graphite pencils. I used the same reference photo for all of my self portraits. The acrylic painting one is seen on the right (10" x 10"). I tried to use realistic colors on that one.
In the middle is my painting of a landscape. I used acrylics on a 20" x 10" canvas. My reference photo was a snapchat of my friend's backyard one day during sunset. I enjoyed the color scheme.

Digital Still Life: Sketchbooks & Skulls (7.5" x 10.5")
This is one of the art pieces I have done for my summer work in AP Studio Art. For this piece, I used an iPad Pro and the app SketchClub. I used some of my sketchbooks and skull cups from Michaels for reference as I sketched freehand on the iPad.
I wanted to sketch this image because I felt like it represented myself. I enjoy doing art, and the occult is usually part of my personal style.

Digital Self Portrait (7" x 7")
Here is my self portrait that was part of my summer work for AP Studio Art. I used a recent photo of myself as a reference. This was sketched using an app called SketchClub on an iPad Pro.
The reason behind the monochromatic theme and the simplistic style is that black and gray are my favorite colors. I also think that it represents the style in which I dress myself every day; simple and monochromatic.
